1971

The Beginning of VIP

VIP was founded by Shri K. Pathare and Shri L.J. Reddy under the name Hybo Hindustan. It marked the start of a visionary journey in the Indian innerwear industry, setting the foundation for a brand that would become a household name. 

1982

Launch of Frenchie 

A major breakthrough in the men’s innerwear segment, VIP introduced Frenchie, India’s first-ever branded men’s briefs. This innovation reshaped the innerwear market by bringing in a new level of comfort, style, and quality. 

1986

Launch of Feelings 

With a commitment to catering to a wider audience, VIP launched Feelings, a premium innerwear brand designed specifically for women. This expansion helped VIP strengthen its presence in the market, offering stylish and comfortable options for women’s innerwear. 

2003

Introduction of Frenchie-X 

Building on the success of Frenchie, Frenchie-X was introduced as an upgraded, fashion-forward version of the classic brief, bringing a modern and youthful touch to men’s innerwear. 

2009 

Launch of Eminence 

To cater to the premium segment, VIP introduced Eminence, an exclusive range of sophisticated innerwear with enhanced comfort and superior fabric quality. 

2012 

Expansion with Inners Stores (EBOs) 

VIP took a significant step in retail expansion by launching Inners Stores, its exclusive brand outlets (EBOs), offering customers a dedicated space to explore its wide range of products. 

2016 

Maxwell Becomes VIP Clothing Ltd. 

In a strategic rebranding move, Maxwell Industries Limited was officially renamed VIP Clothing Ltd., aligning the corporate identity with its flagship brand and reinforcing its leadership in the innerwear industry. 

2020 

Introduction of VIP Masks 

In response to the global pandemic, VIP diversified into protective wear by launching VIP Mask, Feelings Mask, and Frenchie Junior Mask, ensuring safety and comfort for customers while maintaining the brand’s quality standards. 

2023 

Launch of Rivolta Leisurewear & Brand Ambassador Announcement 

VIP Clothing Ltd. expanded its product range by introducing Rivolta Leisurewear, a premium line of stylish and comfortable apparel designed for modern lifestyles. Additionally, the brand appointed supermodel Ujjwala Raut as the brand ambassador for Feelings, reinforcing its commitment to elegance, sophistication, and superior quality in women’s innerwear and leisurewear.
